Damietta Port received 11 ships, and 13 ships left during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of ships on the port’s docks to 28 ships.
The Damietta Port Authority explained that the general cargo handling movement witnessed the export of about 17.2 thousand tons, including 12.6 thousand tons of urea, 2,500 tons of clinker, and 911 tons of salt, in addition to 1,200 tons of miscellaneous goods.
General merchandise imports amounted to about 21.9 thousand tons, including 7,700 tons of corn, 5,000 tons of sugar, 4,892 tons of scrap, and 1,714 tons of beech wood, in addition to 2,611 tons of miscellaneous goods.
Container movement recorded the export of 431 TEUs, the reception of 158 TEUs, while the number of transit containers reached 2,214 TEUs.
Regarding grain stocks, the Authority explained that the balance of wheat in the port’s public sector silos amounted to 100,494 thousand tons, while the private sector warehouses recorded a balance of 48,530 thousand tons.
The movement of trucks entering and exiting through the port reached 4,553 movements during the same period.
