Local Development launches an electronic system to facilitate licensing of public stores

The Ministry of Local Development launched a new electronic system through the “Digital Egypt” portal, to facilitate the procedures for obtaining public store licenses and reconciling the conditions of unlicensed stores, within the framework of implementing the Public Stores Law and promoting digital transformation in government services.

The new system allows shop owners to submit licensing applications electronically, complete the required documents, and follow up on the stages of issuing licenses through the “Digital Egypt” portal, which contributes to simplifying procedures, reducing time and effort, and raising the efficiency of services provided to citizens.

The launch of the system comes within a package of facilitations aimed at encouraging shop owners to adjust their situations in accordance with the provisions of the Public Shops Law, in addition to integrating informal economic activities into the formal economy, in a way that supports improving the investment environment and enhances discipline within cities, centers and neighborhoods.
