For the first time.. “Education” launches new specializations in the pharmaceutical industry in schools of applied technology

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced the launch of 5 “Egyptian-Italian Pharma” schools for applied technology, which will begin studying as of the 2026/2027 academic year, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population, the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Authority, and the Technological Institute for Pharmaceutical Industries in Rome.

This comes within the framework of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education’s strategy to expand the specific specializations that meet the needs of vital sectors, and to strengthen partnerships with state institutions, within the framework of the Ministry’s vision to develop the technical education system, and to create modern specializations that keep pace with the rapid developments in the labor market, and contribute to the preparation of technical cadres who possess the scientific and practical skills necessary to work in one of the most important strategic sectors, which is the pharmaceutical industry sector.

The “Egyptian Italian Pharma” schools offer the “Pharmaceutical Industry” specialization, through advanced study programs that combine academic study and practical training, ensuring that students are qualified in accordance with the latest approved systems and standards, and in accordance with the requirements of the local, regional and international labor market.

Studies will begin in the new schools in five locations across three governorates: East Nasr City School in Cairo Governorate, Al-Sahel School in Cairo Governorate, Helwan School in Cairo Governorate, Central Alexandria School in Alexandria Governorate, and Al-Omraniya School in Giza Governorate.

The launch of these schools reflects the Ministry of Education and Technical Education’s keenness to diversify technical education tracks and provide future specializations that contribute to supporting the country’s plans for sustainable development, by preparing qualified graduates who possess the scientific competence and skills to work in the fields of drug manufacturing, quality control, drug supply chains, and health care, which enhances the competitiveness of graduates and opens broad horizons for them to enter the labor market.

The Ministry confirms that the expansion of applied technology schools represents one of the main axes for developing technical education, by providing an integrated educational model based on quality, partnership with national authorities and institutions, and linking the educational process to the needs of the production and service sectors, which contributes to preparing generations capable of keeping pace with the requirements of future jobs and supporting the development process in various economic sectors.
