Banque Misr and Ministry of Justice Ink Strategic Partnership to Offer Notarization Services at Select Branches

CAIRO, Egypt – July 19, 2026 – In a significant move to support the Egyptian government’s digital transformation and service enhancement initiatives, the Ministry of Justice and Banque Misr signed a strategic cooperation protocol on Sunday. The landmark agreement enables the bank to offer real estate registration and notarization services directly to its customers within select branches, promising a faster, more integrated service experience.
The signing ceremony was attended by Counselor Mahmoud Helmy El-Sherif, Minister of Justice; Hisham Okasha, Chief Executive Officer of Banque Misr; and Dr. Khaled Atris, Head of the Legal Sector at Banque Misr. The protocol was officially signed by Counselor Hisham Abdel-Meguid, Assistant Minister of Justice for Real Estate Registration and Notarization, and Mohsen Darwish, Head of the Branches Sector at Banque Misr.
This partnership aligns with the state’s strategic plan to ease citizens’ access to government services by fostering synergies with various national sectors, particularly the banking industry. By expanding the network of Real Estate Registration and Notarization Authority outlets into bank branches, customers will be able to seamlessly execute legal documentation related to their banking transactions under one roof.
The new services will be rolled out gradually. The pilot phase will launch at the El-Tesaeen Branch in the Fifth Settlement (New Cairo), with a subsequent nationwide rollout across other branches following an agreed-upon executive timeline.
Commenting on the agreement, Minister of Justice Counselor Mahmoud Helmy El-Sherif stated that the protocol is a core component of the state’s broader strategy to modernize the government service ecosystem.
“Cooperating with Banque Misr, one of our largest national banks with a vast geographical footprint, exemplifies the true integration among state institutions,” El-Sherif said. “This partnership will contribute to delivering faster and more accessible notarization services, keeping pace with the state’s digital transformation goals and elevating the quality of services provided to the public.”
Hisham Okasha, CEO of Banque Misr, emphasized that the partnership marks a crucial step toward consolidating customer services and enhancing the overall banking experience.
“By offering real estate registration and notarization services within our branches, we are saving our clients valuable time and effort while fundamentally simplifying procedural workflows,” Okasha noted. He further highlighted that this initiative reflects Banque Misr’s unwavering commitment to Egypt Vision 2030. “We are actively building a smart service ecosystem that provides innovative solutions to meet the evolving and dynamic needs of our customers.”
Okasha added that the collaboration stands as an outstanding model of coordination between state institutions and the banking sector, reflecting the bank’s dedication to leveraging its extensive branch network to offer value-added services that maximize customer satisfaction.
Banque Misr continues to pioneer initiatives that adapt to changing market demands.
