{"id":4852,"date":"2026-11-08T05:13:40","date_gmt":"2026-11-08T03:13:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailybusiness.info\/?p=4852"},"modified":"2026-11-08T05:13:40","modified_gmt":"2026-11-08T03:13:40","slug":"egypt-bahrain-seek-stronger-trade-and-investment-ties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailybusiness.info\/?p=4852","title":{"rendered":"Egypt, Bahrain seek stronger trade and investment ties"},"content":{"rendered":"<div role=\"main\" id=\"content\">\n<article id=\"the-post\">\n<div>\n<figure><img fetchpriority=\"high\" width=\"780\" height=\"470\" src=\"https:\/\/amayei.nyc3.digitaloceanspaces.com\/2026\/11\/19-2026-639294967417538821-753-780x470.jpg\" alt data-main-img=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cEgypt and Bahrain are seeking to expand trade, increase investment and strengthen economic cooperation,\u201d Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said on Thursday November 5, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>His remarks came during the third meeting of the Bahrain-Egypt Government Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation, held in Egypt\u2019s New Capital and co-chaired by Kouchouk and Bahrain\u2019s Minister of Finance and National Economy, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.<\/p>\n<p>Kouchouk said that both countries had opportunities to expand cooperation, particularly through private sector investment in manufacturing, exports and technology.<\/p>\n<p>He called for increased Bahraini investment in Egypt\u2019s productive, financial and technology sectors, alongside measures to facilitate trade and improve market access for businesses in both countries.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister said Egypt and Bahrain would work to address investment obstacles and turn existing bilateral agreements into projects that support economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>He also expressed Egypt\u2019s interest in exchanging expertise with Bahrain on public financial management, spending efficiency and digital transformation.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa called for closer economic cooperation and greater private sector participation in bilateral trade and investment.<\/p>\n<p>He welcomed an agreement to organize the Bahrain-Egypt Business Forum regularly to encourage partnerships between companies in both countries.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting also reviewed investment opportunities, joint projects and cooperation in trade, science and technology, with senior ministers and officials from both countries attending.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cEgypt and Bahrain are seeking to expand trade, increase investment and strengthen economic cooperation,\u201d Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said on Thursday November 5, 2026.
