CAIRO, Nov 4 (MENA) \u2013 Egypt and the US signed first-ever bilateral Strategic Objective Agreement, on Wednesday, to expand economic cooperation in energy, water management, infrastructure, technology and other development sectors.<\/p>\n

Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty attended the signing ceremony alongside the ministers of finance, supply and internal trade, and higher education and scientific research.<\/p>\n

The Strategic Objectives Framework Agreement was signed by Deputy Foreign Minister for International Cooperation Samar al-Ahdal and US Embassy Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires Robert Silverman.<\/p>\n

The agreement commits $125 million in US funding to expand opportunities for American companies in Egypt and drive private-sector growth in both countries.<\/p>\n

Foreign Ministry spokesman Nader Zaki said that the agreement aims to support economic growth, create jobs and improve public services in Egypt through cooperation with the United States.<\/p>\n

It includes the use of American technology to develop water and energy systems, infrastructure, education, healthcare and government services.<\/p>\n

The agreement also covers cooperation in artificial intelligence and food security, including the use of modern agricultural methods to improve food production. (MENA)<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
