Egyptian Ambassador to Morocco Ahmed Nihad Abdel Latif discussed ways to expand cooperation in ports, industrial zones and logistics with Mehdi Tazi-Riffi, CEO and Chairman of Tanger Med Group, during a meeting at the group\u2019s headquarters in Tangier city, Morocco.<\/p>\n

The meeting, attended by Egyptian Commercial Counselor in Morocco Moataz Bellah Ali, focused on strengthening economic relations and advancing the two countries\u2019 shared goal of building a comprehensive economic partnership.<\/p>\n

Abdel Latif said the outcomes of the first session of the Joint Coordination and Follow-up Committee, held in Cairo on April 6 under the co-chairmanship of the two countries\u2019 prime ministers, reflected a shared commitment to deepening economic ties through increased trade, joint investment, industrial integration and closer cooperation in transport and logistics.<\/p>\n

He also highlighted Egypt\u2019s industrial, production and logistical capabilities, pointing to the significant progress made in infrastructure and transport development in recent years.<\/p>\n

For his part, Tazi-Riffi outlined Tanger Med\u2019s experience, particularly its integrated model linking port operations with surrounding industrial zones and its role in facilitating international trade and the movement of goods across global markets.<\/p>\n

The discussions explored prospects for cooperation between Tanger Med and Egyptian ports, as well as the Suez Canal Authority and the Suez Canal Economic Zone.<\/p>\n

Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening links between ports, industrial zones and logistics hubs in the two countries to enhance their international competitiveness and expand their role in global trade and investment.<\/p>\n

They also discussed exchanging expertise in port management and operations, developing industrial zones, leveraging the two countries\u2019 transport and logistics networks, and encouraging partnerships between Egyptian and Moroccan private-sector companies.<\/p>\n

The proposed cooperation is expected to create new opportunities in manufacturing, exports and investment, while expanding access for Egyptian and Moroccan products to African and European markets.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
