Egypt\u2019s newly introduced facilities for real estate taxpayers have gained significant traction, with taxpayers creating more than 612,000 electronic accounts and filing 490,000 tax declarations through a dedicated mobile application during its first two months, Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said.<\/p>\n

The submitted declarations covered more than 830,000 property units, including 636,000 residential units and 188,000 non-residential properties, in addition to more than 6,000 other establishments.<\/p>\n

Kouchouk said the strong uptake reflects growing public confidence in the government\u2019s efforts to simplify tax procedures and encourage voluntary compliance through digital services.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to taxpayers who responded positively and engaged with us,\u201d the minister said, noting that users have also paid EGP 28m on account of real estate taxes to benefit from the newly introduced facilities.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Finance has recently stepped up efforts to modernize Egypt\u2019s tax administration and expand the use of digital platforms as part of a broader strategy aimed at simplifying procedures, reducing administrative burdens and improving communication with taxpayers.<\/p>\n

The new facilities for real estate taxpayers are designed to simplify filing and payment procedures and encourage property owners to regularize their tax positions through streamlined digital channels.<\/p>\n

Kouchouk noted that the ministry will continue to simplify procedures and further develop the mobile application while addressing any challenges facing users.<\/p>\n

The strong early adoption of the platform highlights the growing role of digital tools in Egypt\u2019s tax reform agenda, as the government seeks to enhance tax compliance while building a more efficient and taxpayer-friendly system.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
