Mohamed Awad, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), took part in a meeting with Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Rostom and a number of fintech entrepreneurs and companies to discuss expansion and investment opportunities in Egypt.<\/p>\n

The meeting reviewed developments in Egypt\u2019s investment climate and opportunities in technology, innovation and digital financial services.<\/p>\n

Rostom said the state is pursuing a clear strategy to support entrepreneurship and address the operational and financing challenges facing startups.<\/p>\n

For his part, Awad described fintech as a promising sector as Egypt works to strengthen its digital economy and support innovation and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

He said GAFI is committed to supporting investors and entrepreneurs and helping address the challenges they face, while promoting Egypt\u2019s investment incentives and opportunities.The participating entrepreneurs expressed interest in Egypt\u2019s investment opportunities and incentives for fintech companies and presented their plans for expansion and investment in the Egyptian market.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
