In implementation of the directives of Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, to expand the exporter base and raise the readiness of Egyptian companies to access global markets, Major General Essam El-Naggar, Chairman of the General Authority for Export and Import Control, participated in the second session of the activities of the \u201cEgypt Starts with Exports\u201d initiative, organized by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade at Tanta University on July 29 and 30, under the patronage of the Prime Minister, and with the participation of the leadership of the Ministry and its affiliated bodies, and a number of representatives of the business community, exporters and investors.<\/p>\n
Major General Essam Al-Najjar stressed that the Authority plays a pivotal role in supporting exporting companies, by providing inspection and testing services, issuing certificates of conformity, and introducing technical specifications and requirements and requirements for access to various markets, which helps companies adhere to international standards and increase their competitiveness.<\/p>\n
He explained that the Authority continues to develop the work system and services provided to exporters, through expanding digital transformation, simplifying procedures, and raising the efficiency of laboratories, which contributes to reducing the time of service provision, facilitating the movement of foreign trade, and enhancing companies\u2019 confidence in the export system.<\/p>\n
He pointed out that the Authority\u2019s participation in the \u201cEgypt Exports\u201d initiative comes within the framework of integration between the various entities affiliated with the Ministry, to provide an integrated system of services to companies within the governorates, which contributes to increasing the number of exporting companies and enhancing the competitiveness of the Egyptian product in global markets.<\/p>\n
The session concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination between the various stakeholders, and providing technical support to companies, in a way that contributes to achieving the state\u2019s goals to increase exports and enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
