The Ministry of Justice and Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) have signed a cooperation protocol to establish notarisation offices at the bank’s branches, making notarisation services more accessible to customers and improving the mechanisms through which they are delivered.

The agreement forms part of the state’s efforts to strengthen cooperation between government institutions and the banking sector.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mahmoud Helmy El-Sherif, Minister of Justice; Hisham Ezz El-Arab, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of CIB; and Mohamed Shaaban, Sub-Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The protocol was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Justice by Hisham Abdel Meguid, Assistant Minister of Justice for the Real Estate Registration and Notarisation Sector, while CIB was represented by Mahmoud Abbas, Head of the Legal Department.

Ezz El-Arab praised the efforts of the Minister of Justice, his deputies, the Governor of the Central Bank and its officials for their productive cooperation in signing the protocol, which aligns with the requirements of the New Republic and the Egyptian state’s vision for digital transformation and institutional development.
