The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) announced a temperature drop of up to four degrees across most parts of the country, following the brief rise experienced on Wednesday.
Greater Cairo is expected to record a high of 28C during the day on Thursday.
The Director-General of the Forecasting and Early Warning Department at the EMA, Mahmoud Shaheen, predicted chances of rainfall along the northwestern coasts and northern Lower Egypt governorates.
He warned of seasonal colds as the country transitions from summer to winter, advising citizens to wear appropriate clothing during late-night and early-morning hours—which may require bringing along a light jacket, particularly for children and the elderly.
Shaheen also warned of active winds ranging from 30-40 km/h in several regions, which will kick up sand and dust across areas of the northwestern coasts, Lower Egypt, Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and parts of the Western Desert.
The EMA urged citizens to take all necessary precautions and measures to mitigate the impact of the expected weather phenomena and to stay updated with their latest weather bulletins.
