EgyptAir crowned World’s Most Improved Airline at 2026 Skytrax Awards

EgyptAir has claimed top global honors at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards in London, winning the prestigious title of “The World’s Most Improved Airline.”

Marking a major milestone for the national carrier, the award recognizes a comprehensive overhaul in service quality, fleet modernization, and digital transformation aimed at elevating the passenger experience.

Rankings surge

Global top 50 entry

EgyptAir jumped 22 places in Skytrax’s overall global rankings to secure 46th place worldwide for 2026, up from 68th in 2025.

African excellence

The airline earned 2nd place overall among African carriers, while claiming top continental honors for Best Cabin Crew and Best Economy Class.

Global cabin crew status

Backed by high marks for in-flight service, EgyptAir’s cabin crew ranked 20th globally.

Sustained momentum

The breakthrough follows a strong performance in 2025, where the carrier was named Africa’s most improved airline and swept continental awards for cabin crew and economy dining.

The Skytrax World Airline Awards are determined through independent global passenger satisfaction surveys, evaluating full-journey service standards, digital adoption, and overall customer experience.
