Bank ABC Egypt has published its 2025 Annual Sustainability Disclosure Report, outlining the bank’s progress in embedding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards across its core operations.
The report highlights the bank’s efforts to establish sustainability as an operational pillar designed to deliver lasting value to clients, employees, shareholders, and the broader local market. Key focus areas include responsible banking, sustainable lending, workforce development, corporate social responsibility, and sound governance frameworks.
Commenting on the publication, Rabih El Halabi, Acting Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Bank ABC Egypt, said:
“Since rolling out the Group’s sustainability roadmap, 2025 has proved a defining execution year for Bank ABC Egypt. We broadened our sustainable finance portfolio, integrated ESG risk models into credit approvals, and accelerated digital banking across business lines—all while driving measurable efficiency gains. Over the past year, we deployed EGP 4.5 billion in sustainable financing, cut our energy footprint by 14%, and sourced 20% of our power from renewables. Our immediate focus is to compound these gains and broaden our positive footprint across both our client base and the macro economy.”
The 2025 Sustainability Report forms part of Bank ABC Egypt’s mandatory public disclosures and serves as a companion to its Annual Report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025.
